The Extravagant MAMAMOO Comeback

29 OCTOBER 2020 - MAMAMOO has come back to conquer the K-POP world with their new album “Travel”! Their songs have dominated charts including iTunes in most countries across the globe.

RBW Entertainment have made statements claiming that MAMAMOO are scheduled to make a comeback on the 3rd of November with their single track titled “Dingga”.

This album comes after their recent album, “Reality in Black”. Following the album’s release in November 2019, it swept the weekly charts in Korea for many weeks and was crowned as MAMAMOO’s third number one album.

In September, the group dropped a single called “Wanna be myself” which made all of their fans, MooMoos, scream their hearts out and wait in anticipation of their new upcoming album.

MAMAMOO is famously known as the “ssenunni” group which in English is translated as “fierce sister”. With their unique performances that are not typically accepted in the Korean industry, they are one of the top girl groups that are able to bring the Korean Wave to higher levels. Most of their songs have been self-written and produced by the members themselves which is rare for most K-

POP groups. The MAMAMOO members consist of Solar (leader), MoonByul (main rapper), Wheein (lead singer), and Hwasa (maknae which translates to youngest member of the group). The group’s aim is to contribute a difference in the Korean wave and to show the public that not all K-POP groups need to fit a stereotype.

After the release of “Dingga”, they are scheduled to drop the whole album, with their first song, “AYA”. The songs of their album are said to have exotic beats and flavorful rhythms that are combined from different pop genres. “AYA” is said to be an Arabic-inspired song that has a groovy feel due to its variation and layering of the track while “Dingga” has an 80’s pop vibe that aims to bring the retro trend to life.
